Meet Max Shepherdson, the founder of Maxwell Developments, a premier general contractor and development company based in Victoria, BC. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Max moved to the rugged West Coast in 2012 with his Canadian wife to explore the adventure lifestyle, and he's been in love with Vancouver Island ever since.
Entrepreneurially minded and with a continual learning approach, Max’s passion for real estate, and exceptional customer experience has led him to add massive value to communities and family homes alike. He has led investment and construction teams through rebuilding large multifamily properties in the USA and Canada and taken existing client homes and their visions through transformation into beautiful new spaces for their desired lifestyles. He says “The joy and fulfillment we get through the magic of collaboration is what keeps us doing what we do!”
Max has over 15 years in construction and he and his team are shaking up the industry by demonstrating a new positive spin on typical “old school construction”. We’ve all been there and seen messy and dangerous job sites, unreliable trades people flying off the handle, and trades looking to cut corners to just “get paid and get out”. When you put trust and relationships at the forefront of your business model and focus on the long game, building a legacy brand and reputation, we pick our team members based on alignment with our vision and core values. Some people are a natural fit and some are not. We find by spending the time hand picking and curating our team, we have the right people in the right seats who are all focused on 1 common goal.
